काठमाडौँ– सरकारले कोरोना भाइरस (कोभिड–१९)को उपचारका लागि अत्यावश्यक मेडिकल सामग्री खरीदकाे जिम्मा नेपाली सेनालाई दिने निर्णय गरेको छ।
यसअघि ‘ओम्नीटेक’ कम्पनीसँगको खरीद सम्झौतामा व्यापक भ्रष्टाचार तथा अनियमितता भएको आरोप लागेपछि सरकारले उक्त सम्झौता रद्द गरेको थियो।
चीनबाट ल्याइएका सामग्रीहरु गुणस्तरहीन भएको र महँगोमा खरीद भएको भन्दै व्यापक आलोचना भएपछि सरकारले उक्त सम्झौता रद्द गरेर ‘ओम्नीटेक’ कम्पनीलाई कालो सूचीमा राखेको थियो।
स्वास्थ्य मन्त्रालयका एक उच्च अधिकारीका अनुसार अब उपचारका लागि अत्यावश्यक सामग्री खरीदको जिम्मेवारी सेनालाई दिने निर्णय भएको हो।
मेडिकल सामग्री खरीदको जिम्मा सेनालाई दिने प्रस्ताव बुधबार नै भएको भएपनि बिहीबार मात्रै निष्कर्षमा पुगेको स्रोतले बतायो। उक्त निर्णयमा अबको सामग्री खरीद प्रक्रिया ‘जी टु जी’बाट हुने भएको छ।
‘कोभिड–१९ रोकथाम, नियन्त्रण र उपचारका लागि आवश्यक पर्ने औषधि, उपकरण तथा अन्य सामग्रीहरु स्वास्थ्य तथा जनसंख्या मन्त्रालयसँग समन्वय गरी आवश्यकताअनुसार रक्षा मन्त्रालयले नेपाली सेनामार्फत सरकार–सरकार (जि टू जि) विधिबाट खरिद गर्ने’, उक्त निर्णयमा उल्लेख छ।
